Worst Valentine's day EVER!

God, this went worst that all the Valentine's day that I was alone/lonely or when I just forgot about the day...

You know when you have everything planned for months, you give (not so) hidden hints about what you want for the day, you have the perfect restaurant and think about the best thing to please the other person and then everything falls apart? You get the wrong gift, although your "hints" were really direct and the thing you really wanted was cheaper and easier to get, your plans for the day are ruined, because of the rain and college, and that special dinner that you've been saving for all day goes to sh*t.

Damned rain, and college, and men (lack of) intelligence...

I'm pissed, sad and really, really hungry...

Valentine's Day

First of all: Happy Valentine's everyone!

Now the result of my version of chocolate truffles:

I hope my frog prince likes it! <3

So a friend of mine, Nanoha (we met for the first time in a high school trip to Spain and became friends when we found out we bouth liked anime and manga), she asked me to draw a chibi of her.

Here's the result!

Recipe for Chocolate Mint Truffles

I solved my little problem with valentine's day present: Chocolate Mint Heart Shaped Truffles!!

Since they're life span is way shorter than chocolates, I'm only making them the weekend before. So, when they're finished, i'll post the images here. For now I'll leave you with the video recipe I'll use (I'll just change the way I'm molding the truffles):

My exams are over for this semester

Finally, the semester is over! It didn't go very well, but at least it went better than last year...

Now it's time to make the most of these 3 days of vacation I have left! Tomorrow is the end of the semester celebration dinner, Saturday, the high school reunion, and then Monday restarts the torture and... IT'S VALENTINE'S DAY! OMG I FORGOT!

Ok, I gotta get this post over with soon because I have to rush to the mall to get all the ingredients needed to make my Valentine's gift to my frog prince >.<

Do you know the japanese tradition for Valentine's day? Girls give chocolates to all the men in their life: friends, co-workers, bosses, etc. But for their special someone they give homemade chocolate, made by themselves.

Well, since I couldn't think of anything more romantic that my frog prince could enjoy, I started planning the whole thing counting on my homemade freshly baked chocolates. The problem is: they need to be done one week before you eat them, and I have less than a week till Valentine's day... You get my logistics problems, right?

Also, I didn't even chose the type of chocolates I'm baking, and I don't have the molds... I'm so screwed...

And now I lost my earing... This day couldn't be going smoother...

Bye for now, I gotta go take care of this mess >.<

Hi everybody!

This is my first post in this blog, so I guess the best thing to do is introduce myself and tell the short version of my life until this point in time:

All my life (with a few exceptions in time) I've been a tomboy. There's something about being girly that I just couldn't take. Maybe because a girl has to be delicate, thoughtful, presentable and can't drink beer. Well, at least that was my old definition of girly...

I used to sing in a rock band, and for a girl to be the front-woman of a band is kinda tough if you don't have the right atitude. If a girl dresses girly and takes place as a front-woman of a rock band, there's no excape from the visual part of the performance. I used to hear the public talk about the size of the several singer's breasts, and never talking about their quality as actual singers... Chosing outfits over music...

Besides that, being the only girl in the band usually made everyone think I was less than everyone else, so I had to look and act extra-tough to conterpart that effect. Once I realized that no matter what, I would still be considered less (and for several reasons besides that) I left the band and started my own project.

Now I'm free to dress and act like I want, without judgement, being my own boss. Just one problem: I'm mind frozen! And in this blog I'll talk about how I will overcome that and write the lyrics for the tons of songs I have while taking a degree, cooking for my frog prince and still trying to be a fashionista!

Wish me luck!
